The Gospel Proclamation
And he went on, ‘In truth I tell you, no prophet is ever accepted in his own country. ‘There were many widows in Israel, I can assure you, in Elijah’s day, when heaven remained shut for three years and six months and a great famine raged throughout the land, but Elijah was not sent to any one of these: he was sent to a widow at Zarephath, a town in Sidonia. And in the prophet Elisha’s time there were many suffering from virulent skin-diseases in Israel, but none of these was cured — only Naaman the Syrian.’ When they heard this everyone in the synagogue was enraged. They sprang to their feet and hustled him out of the town; and they took him up to the brow of the hill their town was built on, intending to throw him off the cliff, but he passed straight through the crowd and walked away.

Gaze on Jesus
Duality of Jesus’ sonship is prominently expressed in this scripture passage, one being Joseph’s son, the other being the son of God which was His true identity, which the Nazarenes failed to comprehend.  Lord’s saving plan comes to us through humble means.

Our sonship
Like Naaman we are too invited to accept the love of the Lord that humbles us.  Naaman viewed bathing in the river too simple, but the mere act humbled him.
Lord comes in search of you and me too to transform us through the situation we are in.  Let us claim!

Prayerful Awareness
Use your present condition to experience Lord’s salvation; this could be physical, spiritual or economic.  Awaken and in faith, invite the Holy Spirit to overshadow this condition.  When the Holy Spirit comes, He reveals the truth about your situation; are you willing to accept this prompting?  To accept and change, you need to experience the love of the Lord to manifest in you.  Use outward gestures to help you awaken to Lord’s manifestation, such as opening your palms and stretching your hands, or gaze at a picture of the Lord, or feel the sensation of inhaling whilst claiming the entry of the breadth as Lord’s love into your situation through your body and use exhaling to put away the sinfulness.  When Lord reveals the sin that is causing your situation, are you willing to be humble, to accept and change?  Do not fear as it is God’s own Spirit who will guide you out of it.
Psalm: 42/1-2
As a dear longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?
Prayer Starter
Lord, I am weak and am a sinner. Heal me mentally, physically and transform me.
